About the Band

The Last Chance String Band was formed in the mid 1980s as an acoustic music trio.  The band consisted of Doug Smythe, Stephen Stange and T.J Wangerman, now known as T.J. Crow,. The group was a favorite at the Florida Folk Festival throughout the 80s along with many acoustic venues in the Tampa Bay Area. This page is dedicated to the music of the band, containing a collection of both studio recordings and live performances as well as favorite throwback photos.
